Every time I get together with my writing group, I feel much better about my work (and also how hard writing is). As you (my nonexistent readers) know, I didn’t manage to send them the 50 pages that I was supposed to two weeks ago.
I still have not made much progress writing (and today is my new due date), but they keep me accountable and also thinking realistically about what I can do.
They’re great, and I have so much energy that I’m going to stay up tonight and write instead of work (!). Meeting with them is, as always, a great reminder that writing doesn’t have to be solitary. Sometimes, people who care about your novel and want it to be published are more motivational than just staring at a blank page, thinking about writing.
